Financial

In additional to electrical performance, Solartek pays careful attention to financial performance during the design of a solar electric system.  Most homes and businesses in Florida do not have enough available space to install a system that will fully meet their electricity needs.  And in most cases such a large system either is too expensive or does not make the best financial sense.  During the design process, Solartek includes all available local, state, utility, and federal incentive programs in the financial model.  Solartek’s financial model contains a conservative yearly increase in electricity rates and includes the likely but minor decrease in electrical performance of the solar modules.  The Solartek financial calculation also includes maintenance costs during the 30 year lifetime of the system such as replacement of the DC-AC inverter.   And because of the uncertainty in continued funding of the Florida Solar Rebate Program, Solartek provides two versions of the return on investment calculation: one including the state rebate and one without.  The result is a financial return on investment calculation that gives the home owner or business owner confidence in the financial performance of the proposed solar electric system.
